TAXPAYER NEWS DANE COUNTY: Tax amounts are online. Taxpayers can also get E-Bills and E-Receipts by going to http://accessdane.co.dane.wi.us/ clicking on the Public Access oval, and entering Property Information. In the right hand column under tax information, Click on E-Bill or E-Receipt. E-bill reproduces the tax bill and E-receipt shows the payments made for tax amounts. GREEN COUNTY: Tax information is online by going to www.co.green.wi.gov and clicking on the Land Records System tab on the right.

Web Site Ad Hoc Committee Minutes
February 19th 2013
The Web Site Ad Hoc Committee meeting was called to order at 5:00 pm. Committee members in attendance were Dean Van Den Eng, Carol Strause, Kim Brewer, Brit Springer and Nadine Walsten. Also present was Heather Kirkpatrick.
Motion:Van Den Eng/Walsten to approve minutes of 10/24/2012. Motion carried unanimously.
Springer is a professional multimedia designer and as previously determined will be working on creating web content for the Economic Development Committee. Since being on the committee at the same time as being contracted to work on the website would create a conflict of interest, Springer previously stated that she would resign from the website committee. Motion: Van Den Eng/Walsten to accept the resignation from committee member Brit Springer. Motion carried unanimously with Springer abstaining.
The committee previously decided to have the website provider, Town Website Design, perform an upgrade at a cost of $300. This upgrade would enhance the organization and web browsing experience of the website. While waiting for the upgrade to become available, Town Website Design notified the committee that the upgrade would necessitate a move to a different template as the current template would not support the upgrade at this time. The committee reviewed various templates available; however, the consensus was that the templates available would be a step down from the current template and that the upgrade should be delayed until better options are available. Motion: Van Den Eng/Walsten to keep the current template. Motion carried unanimously.
Motion:Van Den Eng/Walsten to appoint Heather Kirkpatrick as a new committee member. Motion carried unanimously. The committee is looking forward to Heather sharing her knowledge and ideas.
Springer updated the committee on the status of the Recreation committee website, which she maintains as a volunteer, including the addition of webpage tracking to chronicle where traffic to the website is originating. Springer will share artwork from the recreation website with the Clerk's office which will free up time for Clerk Strause and Deputy Clerk Brewer as well as enhance the aesthetic of the website.
Heather Kirkpatrick, who is also the chair of the Economic Development committee spoke about the type of content that her committee would like added. Kirkpatrick and Springer will meet to collaborate on content and layout.
The need to use social media to compliment the website was briefly discussed. Springer will look into Twitter handles that would be appropriate for the Village.
Motion:Van Den Eng/Walsten to adjourn at 5:50 pm. Motion carried unanimously.
