OPEN  TAXPAYER NEWS 

DANE COUNTY:     Tax amounts are online.  T  axpayers can also get E-Bills and E-Receipts by going to http://accessdane.co.dane.wi.us/ clicking on the Public Access oval, and entering Property Information. In the right hand column under tax information, Click on E-Bill or E-Receipt. E-bill reproduces the tax bill and E-receipt shows the payments made for tax amounts. 

 GREEN COUNTY :   Tax information is online by going to www.co.green.wi.gov  and clicking on the Land Records System tab on the right

Economic Development Committee

May 9, 2013 Minutes

Members Present:  Heather Kirkpatrick, Scott Meier, Tim Belter, Steve Lust, Nissan Rodriguez, Nadine Walsten

Members Absent:  Mike Gehrmann 

Meeting was called to order at 6:43 PM by Kirkpatrick.

 Frandy motioned to approve the 1/17/13 EDC minutes.  Motion was seconded by Belter.  Motion carried unanimously.

 The 2/21/13 minutes were approved in March 2013 and were not re-approved at this meeting.

 Frandy motioned to approve the 3/13/13 EDC minutes.  Motion was seconded by Belter.  Motion carried unanimously.

 Status and update of the proposed business park was given.  There are businesses that are interested in space in the business park.

 Kirkpatrick motioned to approve the Economic Development Strategic Plan provided the date of the document was added to the footer and cover page.  Motion was seconded by Frandy.  Motion carried unanimously.

 Frandy motioned to approved the draft text for the Brooklyn Business Complex webpage, with changes.  Motion was seconded by Walsten.  Motion carried unanimously.

 Frandy motioned to approved the draft text for the Brooklyn Business Complex flyer, with changes.  Motion was seconded by Walsten.  Motion carried unanimously.

 Kirkpatrick motioned to approved the draft text for the Brooklyn Business Complex street naming contest, with changes.  Changes include  1) entries must be received by June 14, 2013 and  2) if duplicate names are submitted, the first name of the duplicates received by the Village will be the eligible entry.  Motion was seconded by Frandy.  Motion carried unanimously.

 Update on nominations for the Dane County Small Business Awards.  Four businesses from Brooklyn were nominated.  The DCSMA committee is sending questionnaires to those business.  The winners will receive awards on June 10, 2013.

 2013 budget was not reviewed.

 Frandy motioned to adjourn the meeting at 8:17 PM.  Motion was seconded by Belter.  Motion carried unanimously.
