DANE COUNTY:     Tax amounts are online.  T  axpayers can also get E-Bills and E-Receipts by going to AccessDane@co.dane.wi.us, clicking on the Public Access oval, and entering Property Information. In the right hand column under tax information, Click on E-Bill or E-Receipt. E-bill reproduces the tax bill and E-receipt shows the payments made for 2011 tax amounts. 

 GREEN COUNTY :   Tax information is online by going to www.co.green.wi.gov  and clicking on the Land Records System tab on the right

Thursday, January 5, 2012 Minutes

Members Present: Todd Klahn, Jessica Hawkey and Steven Lust, also present Chief Barger.  

Meeting was called to order at 7:00 pm. 

Motion:    Todd Klahn / Steve Lust to approve April 7, 2011 Safety Committeeminutes, with Jessica Hawkey abstaining.  Motion was carried. 

Motion:    Jessica Hawkey / Steve Lust to approve October 6, 2011 Safety Committeeminutes, with Todd Klahn abstaining.  Motion was carried. 

Motion:    Jessica Hawkey / Steve Lust to approve December 1, 2011 Safety Committeeminutes with changes.  Motion was carried. 

  •   Budget was reviewed and again appears overall expenses will be under budget. The $4,000 equipment fund grant is still pending.
  • The department work schedule was discussed; there are a couple of open shifts that have not been filled.     
  • Chief Barger’s monthly activity report discussed. December activities are up over last months’ and over all Calls for Service for the year of 2011 are at 901 up compared to 753 in 2010.
  • The daily activity grids for calls-for-service, traffic, MOC, NOPV were discussed.  Committee would also like to see if a report can be obtained from 911 Service Center to see if there were any additional calls dispatched to the Village when there were no officers on duty.
  • Village of Brooklyn Police department was served a recognition plaque for taking part in WISOT BOTS “Drive Sober or Get Pulled over Mobilization” program.
  • New Conceal Carry Law, as it relates to Village of Brooklyn facilities, was postponed.   
  • Status on WISDOT Grant and application for Village Talk Group was discussed.   Still waiting on ok for grant.
  • Discussed 2012 Public Safety Committee and Police Department Mission Statement and Goals.
  •  

Motion:     Todd Klahn / Jessica Hawkey to approve changes to 2012 Mission Statement and Goals. Motion carried unanimously. 

  • Discussed Police Department/Police Chief Ordinance proposal.
  •  

Motion: Todd Klahn / Jessica Hawkey to approve with changes to send Police Department/Police Chief Ordinance proposal to Ordinance Committee for approval. Motion carried unanimously

  • Policy 230; Sex Offender Registry was discussed.
  •  

Motion: Todd Klahn / Jessica Hawkey to send Policy 230 Sex Offender Registry to Village Board for approval. Motion carried unanimously. 

  • Policy 110; Worthless Checks was discussed. Committee had a question on Appendix-C return check fee.
  •  

Motion: Todd Klahn / Jessica Hawkey to send Policy 110; Worthless Checks to Village Board for approval. Motion carried unanimously. 

Motion:     Todd Klahn / Jessica Hawkey toadjourn the meeting at 8:12 pm.  Motion carried unanimously.
